I’m sure you’d like to know what the best treatment is, that is both, effective and affordable.

You can watch the video or read the article to find the best social anxiety treatment for you.
So let’s get straight to the point.
Firstly I will talk about a treatment that many people decide for because it takes the least effort and is supposed to work instantly. Unfortunately, they don’t know that this social phobia treatment is completely ineffective. Yes, I’m talking about medications for social anxiety.
Medications for Social Phobia Treatment
But why do so many people stay on pills for so many years if they don’t work? Well, the answer to this question is easy. Medications help to reduce the physical symptoms of social anxiety. This means that if the pills work for you, your heart won’t start racing in social situations that make you anxious.
The problem however is that once you stop using medications, you’re back at square one. You still have the social phobia and you still have the same problems that come with it.
Social phobia is a psychological disorder and in order to overcome it you need more than just pills. You need to work on your belief system and change your limiting beliefs. Medications are just a crutch that you don’t really need.
So, what works then?
Social Phobia Treatment – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a psychotherapy technique that attempts to teach patients to correct emotional and behavioral responses to troubling situations.
This social phobia treatment is focused on identifying the situations that lead to negative emotions, anxiety and anxious behavior. The goal is to identify the thought process and limiting beliefs that lead to anxiety and anxious behavior of the patient.
Once you are aware of your thought process and your limiting beliefs, you need to work on your belief system, so that you end up with more empowering beliefs. These new beliefs become the foundation for new behavior in social situations. Once you no longer engage in negative thinking while being in a social situation, you begin to act or behave normally.
The main goal of cognitive behavioral therapy is to eliminate the negative behavior.
So, how does the cognitive behavioral therapy work?
The first step of CBT is to teach you how to see anxiety provoking situations more clearly so that you can learn the correct and more appropriate reaction to the situation.
Everyone creates their own view of any given situation and this view is partially based on our past experiences. Some people have very distorted view of social situations and that leads them to irrational behavior. That’s why the first step is to change your view, your perception of social situations.
Once you understand that your assumptions about social situations were wrong, you can replace them with ones that are correct. Once this transformation occurs, your reactions to social situations also change, and the unwanted behavior gets eliminated.
However, the behavior doesn’t change overnight. It takes some time to learn and accept the new behavior as your own.
This social phobia treatment is effective when it is done in a systematic way. Therefore a therapist must lead you through the process step by step.
The therapist can’t just tell you about your faulty beliefs. You need to learn it on your own so that you not only understand it, but also accept it as you own revelation.
Since the therapy takes some time and requires an experienced therapist, it can eventually cost you a lot of money. If you take into account that one hour of therapy usually cost somewhere between $100 and $150, and you need to visit the therapist more the just a few times, you can easily end up paying a $1000 or more.
Nevertheless, the cognitive behavioral therapy is very effective and should be on your list of social phobia treatments that you should consider trying.
Social Phobia Treatment With Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP)
Neurolinguistic programming is among the most effective therapies for social anxiety. It involves finding your personal power and getting to the root of your issues. It is basically a process of reprogramming your brain.
The basic principle of NLP is that the words we use reflect our subconscious perception of our problems. If the words we use and perceptions of the world we have are wrong, the problem will persist. If you continue to engage in negative thoughts, negative things will continue to happen.
NLP was actually developed in the early 1970s at the University of California at Santa Cruz. The study started as an effort to discover why people with the same education experience different levels of success in life. The purpose of the study was to come up with a model that could be used by all people who want to be successful.
The study concluded that the patterns of thinking that we have play a huge role in determining the amount of success we experience. The brain can actually learn the healthy patterns and behaviors that bring positive results.
How does the NLP work as a social anxiety treatment?
NLP helps you view experiences and social situations from a different angle. This helps you to reprogram your thought patterns that are responsible for the anxiety to appear.
Neurolinguistic programming brings extremely effective techniques that can help you boost your confidence. This can help you deal with stressful situations with ease.
NLP is much more than just a few techniques, but for the purpose of this article we’ll stay with that. This techniques patch up the wholes that cognitive behavioral therapy might have.
Neurolingustic programming is a very effective social anxiety treatment; however the therapies can be quite expensive. Just like with the cognitive behavioral therapy, you have to pay the therapist to guide you through the right techniques and strategies.
Social Anxiety Survivor System
I used to suffer from social anxiety for the most (part) of my life. In social situations I became anxious and tried to stay away from engaging in conversations. In high school and later on college I sat at the back of the classroom so that I could avoid any contact with the teacher and other classmates.
When I finished college I had to find a job. I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to work at direct mail department, where I didn’t have to interact with many people. However, as the time went by, my job responsibilities became bigger, which made me very anxious. I had to make presentations once a week and call potential business partners every day. That was way too difficult for me. I was so anxious that I couldn’t even pick up the phone. I waited for everyone to leave the room, so that I could be alone when making a phone call.
Eventually, I couldn’t go on like that anymore. Every Monday morning I felt emotionally drained because I had to go to work that made me anxious. Slowly my immune system got weaker and I got ill very often. I just couldn’t go on like that, so I quit my job. Unfortunately, I still had to pay the bills and without a job that was impossible.
At that moment I made a decision that I have to overcome my social phobia.
I made a commitment that I won’t quit until I find the solution for my problem. I’ve tried many different social phobia treatments, but they were all lacking something. I did make some progress but I was not able to sustain the process. So I decided to study two of the most effective treatments more thoroughly.
I found out that cognitive behavioral therapy is the way to go, but before it can produce the best results, it needs some modifications. It needed something that would make it more effective and easier to follow. That’s where I saw the solution in neurolinguistic programming. So, I enrolled in a NLP practitioner training class to get a better understanding of NLP and its techniques. The course cost me around $1500, but it was worth it. The knowledge I got was exactly what I needed to make the cognitive behavioral therapy more effective.
So, I put together the best from both worlds. I joined cognitive behavioral therapy and neurolinguistic programming in one highly effective system that I named the Social Anxiety Survivor system.
Since then it has already helped many people who suffered from social anxiety and I believe that it’s the best social phobia treatment available at this moment.
It’s highly effective and very affordable. It brings the best from the both worlds and creates quick and lasting results.
If you are ready to overcome your social phobia, then this is the solution you need.
However, I don’t want to brag how my system is the best thing that could happen to you. I’m going to be completely honest. Social Anxiety Survivor system is a self-help program. This means that you have to follow the program and do the exercises yourself. There is no pressure that you have to do the exercises or else the therapist will get mad. Therefore you need to find the motivation within yourself and that’s the reason why I have also included a few motivational techniques to ensure that you don’t get off track.
I’m convinced that this system can help you overcome your social anxiety in a very short time and at the same time it saves you a lot of money that you can use on other things that you like.
First of all you need to understand that relaxation techniques are not the cure for social anxiety, but they can be helpful when you find yourself in anxiety provoking situation and you need to relax quickly.
One way to relax yourself is to use the progressive muscle relaxation. Basically, all you have to do is tense and relax different muscles one at a time. By doing this, you learn how to relax your muscles when you need to.
Another technique that you can use to relax is visualization technique. It allows you to change your focus from your negative thoughts to something more positive. If you focus on your negative thoughts, you get caught in the vicious cycle of social anxiety. Your levels of anxiety increase with constant negative thinking and visualization helps you to refocus your thoughts on something more positive.
The good news is that you can find a few relaxation techniques in the Social Anxiety Survivor course as well. One of them is progressive muscle relaxation.
I hope that this article was helpful and that you got a better understanding of social phobia treatments that are available to you. If you would like to get more information about my Social Anxiety Survivor system I invite you to check out this social anxiety course here.
